Join the Waterloo (WEW) Women Empowering Women Network for a special evening presentation on women in agri-food systems presented by MEDA’s very own Nadia Guerch, Senior Regional Director of LEAP (Latin America, Eastern Europe and Asia Pacific).

This evening presentation will showcase MEDA’s initiatives towards advancing gender equality, helping rural women-led businesses thrive, and how women’s economic empowerment is contributing to system change.  Nadia will discuss MEDA’s work in Guatemala and Nicaragua; two countries where women, despite being important contributors to local agricultural activities, have few opportunities for growth and decent work, largely due to the persistence of structural gender inequality resulting in limited decision-making power, inadequate access to assets and services, in addition to high exposure to gender-based violence.
